· Joint Marketing Partners - Southern Community Bank & Trust carefully selects marketing partners to provide our customers with specialized financial services such as investments.  These financial institutions with which we have a joint-marketing agreement work closely with us to help meet all of your financial needs.  The categories of information we disclose include the information that we collect as referenced above.  They are contractually required to adhere to our strict security standards and are not allowed to use our customer information for any purpose other than the intended service.

· Service Providers - We enter into arrangements with companies that provide support services for us such as imprinting checks, marketing assistance, data processing services and any other services necessary to administer your requests.  As permitted by law, we disclose to these service providers the customer information necessary to perform these functions.  As with all of our business arrangements, these companies are required to safeguard your information and use it only for authorized purposes.

· Consumer Reporting Agencies - In accordance with standard banking industry practice and The Fair Credit Reporting Act, we share customer information with reputable reporting agencies.

· Courts and Government Entities - Certain nonpublic personal information is required by or allowed by law, such as in response to a subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, or a request by regulator or independent auditor.  In these circumstances only the specific information required by law, subpoena or court order will be disclosed.  If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will follow the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
